In some cases couches are found in non-residential locations such as hotels, in the lobbies of commercial offices, waiting rooms, and bars. A chaise lounge is a furnished sofa that has a shape of a chair and is long enough to support the legs. Conventionally, chaise lounge have been linked to psychoanalysis and countless psychoanalysts keep on using the chaises lounges in their offices for use in psychotherapy. In current French the phrase chaise lounge can be used to refer to any long reclining chair such as a deckchair.
